The store, as well as Five Oaks Farm Kitchen and our hotel, were all created to pay homage to our owners’ family that called the Five Oaks Farm home. Dr. John W. Ogle and his wife Blanche purchased the land 100 years ago, and today, though it’s a bit different, is still in the family. The Ogle family is very passionate about sharing the history of the property, their love of the Smokies and their deeply rooted family values. That’s why you’ll find pieces of the story around every corner of our hotel, the general store and the farm kitchen.
