Dollywood is an amazing attraction for kids of all ages! If you are traveling with smaller children, the best place to start your day is either the Country Fair or Wildwood Grove section of the park. Between the two areas, there are a total of 12 rides and attractions for children under 36 inches tall. Once your child reaches that height, there will be many more rides they can participate in. If you are unsure how tall your child is, there is a ride measuring center located to the left of where you enter the park. This will help you know exactly which of the rides your child is tall enough to ride.
2. Games Galore
When you visit the Country Fair section of the park, it will remind you of the fairs that come to your town each year. In addition to amazing rides, this part of the park features dozens of exciting games. From basketball to water shooting games, there is an activity for every age group. Not only do kids love playing the games, they also have the chance to win excellent prizes, such as stuffed animals, new toys, and sports equipment. There are also games where you are guaranteed to win each time, which are great for younger children!
3. Delicious Food
After spending a few hours exploring everything the park has to offer, your children are bound to work up an appetite. Luckily, there are an abundance of family friendly restaurants scattered throughout the theme park. Two of the favorites among children are Victoria’s Pizza and Red’s Drive-in. Let’s be honest, what kid doesn’t love pizza? At Victoria’s, you can choose between either cheese or pepperoni pizza and it provides a quick and easy meal that the kids are sure to love. When it comes to Red’s Drive-in, just imagine an old 1950s diner that you would see on an old sitcom. With a jukebox playing in the middle of the restaurant, your family can enjoy delicious burgers and fries in a 50s setting!
4. Amazing Souvenirs
With all the fun your family will have at the theme park, you will want a souvenir to take back home to cherish the memories. Throughout the park, you will find two dozen different places to shop for the perfect souvenir. When it comes to children, one of the best stores is Dollywood Emporium. They have a variety of different T-shirts, toys, accessories, and gifts for kids. Don’t worry, they have plenty of things for mom and dad there as well!
